T&R Test Equipment Z-OVR Cable Impedance Test System
The Z-OVR is a test set designed to measure line impedance. Whilst it is ideally suited to measure overhead cable impedances, it is also ideal for underground cables. In fact it can be used in a variety of applications and on different cable setups; as long as the setup is followed to ensure the return path.
The unit has 3 voltage outputs: 75, 150, & 300V and can measure long line distances in one measurement. The cable being measured must be dead when the testing is underway. The unit stores the data to a USB Flash drive in a CSV format. The parameters stored include Current, voltage, Phase Angle and Impedance (Z & X), other mathematical values can then be accessed once the data is taken off of the Flash Drive and examined in Excel using the inbuilt formulae.
