GPS430-II, GPS Sync Module for the Fluke 430 Series-II
The new GPS430-II replaces the GPS430 and provides accurate time-stamps to measurements made using the Fluke-430-II, so as to meet requirements of IEC 61000-4-30-class A.
The new GPS430-II supports the Fluke 430-II series of Power Quality Analysers specifically.
Visible differences over the earlier models include:
- the different housing,
- a USB-cable provides interfacing with the test tool,
- the GPS antenna and USB cable are now permanently attached to the main module,
- a DC-input has been integrated with the main module and accepts the DC-plug of BC430 universal (either switch-mode or linear) power supply. The BC430/820 smps is included.
The new module consists of a center module (main module) which is the ‘hub’ between the USB cable and GPS antenna. The USB cable is fitted with a USB connector which directly connects to the PQA. The main module also houses the DC entry, for connecting the external power supply. A Switch Mode Power Supply (smps) BC430/820 is part of the package.
This combination is chosen to make sure the installation of the module doesn’t take too much time and is easily done. The GPS430-II accepts the new BC430/820 as well as the linear versions of BC430 supplied with the PQA before.
