KANE 458s IAQ HVACR Flue Gas Analyser

The KANE 458s IAQ HVACR Flue Gas Analyser combines flue gas analysis, indoor air quality testing and HVACR measurement capabilities in one versatile instrument for heating and cooling professionals.

Alongside direct O₂ and CO measurement, the analyser measures indoor air quality CO₂ up to 9,999 ppm, allowing both appliance and room testing for CO and CO₂. It also supports commercial direct and flueless appliance testing, timed room migration tests and appliance sweep tests.

For HVACR work, the KANE 458s IAQ HVACR can perform air conditioning and refrigeration tests using wireless smart probes, including superheat and subcool calculations. KANE LINK connectivity, KANE LIVE integration and structured testing functions bring combustion, IAQ and HVACR testing together in one professional platform.

Why Choose the KANE 458s IAQ HVACR?

The KANE 458s IAQ HVACR is designed for engineers who work across heating, indoor air quality, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Its IAQ CO₂ sensor enables CO and CO₂ testing on appliances and within rooms, including structured room migration timed tests and appliance timed sweep tests. It can be used for Type C sealed appliances, Type B open-flue boilers and Type A cookers, space heaters and water heaters.

For refrigeration and A/C work, compatible wireless probes allow testing without a conventional manifold and hoses, while calculated superheat and subcool values support HVACR system assessment.

Indoor Air Quality & Appliance Testing

The integrated IAQ capability extends the analyser beyond conventional flue gas testing.

The KANE 458s IAQ HVACR can perform room tests for CO and CO₂, as well as appliance CO and CO₂ testing. Structured functions include timed room migration testing and timed appliance sweep testing using the IAQ CO₂ sensor.

It also supports testing of commercial direct and flueless appliances and kitchen appliance testing for CP42, CIS and BS8494.

HVACR Testing:

For air conditioning and refrigeration applications, the analyser works with compatible wireless smart probes to carry out HVACR testing without a traditional manifold, hoses or associated leaks.

It supports 40 refrigerants, including:

  • R22
  • R32
  • R134a
  • R290
  • R410A

Superheat and subcool are calculated as part of the A/C and refrigeration testing functions.

Fuel Types:

The analyser supports 12 standard fuels, including:

  • Natural Gas
  • LPG
  • Butane
  • Propane
  • Light Oil
  • Heavy Oil

A further 5 user fuels can also be configured.

Connectivity & Reporting

The KANE 458s IAQ HVACR can connect to KANE LIVE and compatible third-party apps, allowing test information to be managed digitally.

Test data can be held and logged, while reports containing user details can be sent to the optional KANE-IRP3 printer.

KANE LOCK provides additional analyser security by automatically disabling a stolen analyser.
