Acutest is the trading name of UK Test Instruments Limited. Acutest was established in 1990 to offer a technical instrument
supply service to industry under the name of Acutest. From the humble beginnings of the two founding Directors
the company has grown to become one of the UK’s largest privately owned test equipment specialists.
Now employing around 90 staff members in separate trading divisions, the company has established itself
as a leading player in the supply, repair and calibration of test equipment.
Acutest are the only instrument specialists within the UK who have over 10 external, field based account managers,
covering the whole country, providing technical demonstrations and customer support where needed.
Experienced Sales Team
Our manufacturer and City and Guilds trained sales team are able to supply products from all major test equipment manufacturers, including Megger, Seba, Fluke, Seaward, Flir and many more.
Service Calibration and Repair
The Service, Repair and Calibration department has grown rapidly since gaining ISO9001 quality assurance back in 1992.
The company now calibrates more than 20,000 items annually and carries out repair work to an additional 4000 units.
Capabilities now encompass more than the usual 17th Edition and electrical PAT requirement; pressure, environmental,
combustion analysers and specialist high voltage test equipment can also be checked and calibrated in-house.
The company can also be found operating at customer's sites countrywide and currently carry out more than 400 "On-site"
Calibration Days through a team of dedicated on-site engineers.
ISO17025 UKAS Accredited
In 2008 the company obtained ISO17025 UKAS accreditation and this coincided with the opening of a new state of the art custom built
air-conditioned laboratory at the company’s main site based in Staffordshire. This accreditation is the highest level
a commercial laboratory can obtain in the UK and demonstrates the company’s commitment to on-going quality and service.
