Megger KF875 MkIII Oil Test Set – Moisture Testing for Insulating Oils
The Megger KF875 MkIII is a portable coulometric Karl Fischer test set for measuring moisture in insulating oil. Optimised for oils with a specific gravity of 0.875, it combines straightforward one-button operation with a 1 ml sample size for routine on-site testing.
The simple testing process involves pressing one button and injecting the oil sample into the test cell. The instrument manages the titration process and presents the results on its display, with an integral printer providing a printed record directly from the test set.
Results are reported in micrograms of water and milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg), equivalent to parts per million (ppm). This provides both the measured quantity of water and its concentration in the oil sample.
Battery-powered operation and a supplied carrying case make the KF875 MkIII convenient to transport and use where samples are collected.
