Why choose the Mensura Powered Flow Hood?
Traditional anemometers and non-powered hoods can introduce back pressure, changing the airflow being measured. Correcting the result may require factors specific to both the fan and the instrument.
The Mensura’s built-in fan compensates for this resistance to achieve a zero-pressure balance. This reduces the calculations involved in testing and commissioning, helping you obtain direct airflow measurements with less complexity.
This approach follows the unconditional measurement method (Method A), identified in BSRIA BG 46/2022 as the preferred method for domestic ventilation airflow measurement because of its accuracy and simplicity.
