❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Is the Testo 565i EX suitable for A2L and A3 refrigerants?

A. Yes. The Testo 565i EX is designed for a broad range of refrigeration applications involving A2L and A3 refrigerants. This makes the ATEX Vacuum Pump particularly suitable for modern low-GWP refrigeration and heat pump systems. Always check the Testo 565i EX operating instructions for approved refrigerants and follow applicable local regulations before use.

Q2: Can the Testo 565i EX be used in Zone 2?

A. Yes, within its certified scope and operating conditions. The Testo 565i EX is an ATEX Vacuum Pump certified for use in potentially explosive Zone 2 atmospheres. Users must follow Testo’s operating instructions relating to temporary hazardous zones, ventilation, electrical connections and ignition-source control.

Q3: Does the Testo 565i EX connect to the testo Smart App?

A. Yes. The Testo 565i EX features Bluetooth connectivity and can connect to the testo Smart App. This enables configuration, monitoring and evaluation of evacuation data, helping the ATEX Vacuum Pump support a more efficient and documented workflow.

Q4: Can the Testo 565i EX work with the testo 552i vacuum probe?

A. Yes. For applications outside Ex zones, the Testo 565i EX can be used with the testo 552i vacuum probe to automate the evacuation process. Once the target vacuum is reached, the pump can stop automatically and begin a vacuum holding test. For hazardous-area work, only equipment certified for the applicable zone should be used with the ATEX Vacuum Pump.
